Anxiety Relief for Teens
Happy Bibliotherapy Thursday! This week’s pick is Anxiety Relief for Teens by Dr. Regine Galanti. This is one of my most highly-recommended books for adolescent clients and their parents.
Dr. Galanti uses a warm and accessible style to educate the reader about the nature of anxiety and all its different types and presentations. Through relatable vignettes, illuminating quizzes and self-assessments, and dozens of CBT- and mindfulness-based exercises, this book gives you the tools to successfully recognize and manage negative thinking patterns. Your teen can read it on their own, or you can go through the sections together. Some families have found it to be a wonderful way to connect and build understanding of one-another’s experiences, and the information and techniques are just as applicable to adults!
You can find Anxiety Relief for Teens in print and e-book at these retailers (audiobook is available for pre-order):
