Mindfulness for Kids in 10 Minutes a Day

Welcome back to Bibliotherapy Thursday! A few months ago, we featured the beautiful children’s book Breathe Like a Bear, a guide to mindfulness techniques for young children. If you liked the idea of that book but want something that would be a good fit for your school-aged child, check out Mindfulness for Kids in 10 Minutes a Day by Maura Bradley.

Geared toward children aged 8-12, Mindfulness for Kids has 60 mindfulness exercises broken into sections for morning, midday, and evening with key themes of calming, focusing, reconnecting, and responding. The exercises can either be self-paced or built into your routine, sharing the experience and practicing together. As always, these strategies are just as beneficial to children as they are to adults, and you may each find different ones that are personally helpful.

You can find Mindfulness for Kids in print and e-book at these retailers:

Morning Light doesn’t receive compensation for sharing book recommendations, nor do we receive a commission if you choose to buy the book. We just love them and think some of our clients may find them useful!
